Iran fully understands it's just signed a 20 year pact with its neighbour to the North, Russia, it's also working very closely with its BRICS partner China. Both countries military production. Not only dwarfs the US by 10x it's the same with all NATO countries included. I'm pretty sure Russia, would be only too pleased to help arm Iran. Then turnaround to the US & say we're not part of this conflict. I believe your being a little optimistic about weakness around Iran. If anyone is weak & vulnerable over there. It's not Iran.

The west isn't capable of fighting a ground war against a peer adversary. I'm just a normal person but it's obvious to me Iran would draw the US into a ground war knowing full well it would decimate them. The US would try & do the only thing it knows what to do. That's try & bomb the shit out of Iran using aircraft. Probably using ships to fire missiles from the Eastern Mediterranean. But Iran has pretty decent air defences. The US has never faced anything like that. The missiles from the ships have to travel a big distance also. Making interception easier. Iran has a massive amount of underground facilities protected from such attacks. It would be very very expensive for the US to do this, imagine loosing quite a few aircraft. Also Iran is capable of targeting the ships. A overwhelming saturation attack in the ships would destroy a lot of fire power. A lot of aircraft also. While the Iranians or vast majority would be in much safer well fortified positions. Iran would also develop a nuclear bomb in case the US started going down that road. The Iranians are well aware the only way to stop them is by having them, themselves. Apparently they've got everything they need to produce them it's just a case of finalizing the bomb. The time it would take America to get the forces needed to fight Iran over there , with all the logistics needed Iran would be nuclear capable. It's an impossible war for America to win or even be a little successful. In fact I could only see 1 outcome. Total defeat for the US military. Only this time they couldn't sweep it under the carpet. There'd be that many squealing hysterically to go nuclear. It would most likely happen, WW3 caused by an hysterical uneducated bunch of entitled idiots. Who are that brainwashed they believe America won in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Syria & Ukraine & the cold war was fought with weapons. They believe America can't be beat & Hollywood is real history. Only when they witness what they cause on their own soil will their atitude change from their warmongering psychosis
