However, I'm not sure the interview will cause an earthquake. I know an awful lot North Americans, the true Normies and Grillers, and they are awful thick. Many still think Russia and China are Communist. I'm not sure they even know Stalin and Mao are dead.
However I would contradict the idea that Messianic notions are in any way normative to the system itself and those who operate it. Messianism if genuine you find among PR, media, academics, the second, third tiers so to speak. But what Nixon, Kissinger, Nitze, the Bush people, the military planners under Eisenhower and Truman, JFK et al. (may be not the dumb McNamara) did believe in, is force. None of those guy was naive. They knew very well and still believe it applies, that violence is the supreme force to reach their goal. This has nothing to do with ideals. Read any serious CIA report about "terrorism". May be they are dumb in their assessments. But they know exactly that US use of force is the reason (and that in essence it is illegal. Why is every US mission always either covered up or proxy?). And thats what they do now: They push the envelope to see how far this goes with the use of force far off their coasts. As always. But what have they lost so far?
