I think the Europeans pushing for more war isn't about Ukraine at all, it's as George says: they've been obsessing for decades over the US abandoning them and the ultimate goal of all the plans they're hatching is to draw the US back in to the Ukraine Project and keep them there. As Mark said, Europe is (more) committed to US-led hegemony and the Ukraine Project is just one part of that.
