Hi Mark, you can add that the pipelines are buried in a trench, covered with enough mud and then a layer of gravel rocks that even a large ship dragging it's anchor could not reach the pipe, so laying the explosives would have required either advanced underwater mining equipment or weeks of labour just to remove that cover.
