Thanks Mark, great analysis as usual. The Russians need to become much more ruthless, especially when dealing with West, who don't have the same moral qualms. As the US and European empire fades, they are still being as bloody and uncompromising as ever. I know it's nice to present yourself as being different and offering yourself up as an alternative but the rulers of the West will do everything they can to ensure that they go down fighting and stop others from taking their place (not that BRICS et al will ever be a like for like replacement for the US & European empires). If the Russians, Iranians, Chinese etc. don't learn the right lessons from what's just happened then they deserve what's coming their way.

Bur, everyone has somehow benefited from "The Empire". At this time, it is not possible for Americans, Canadians, or Europeans, to "Starve to death"..... That alone is a "Sense of entitlement" unimaginable for many people. I don't suggest that any person should be hungry. I just think that we should all be aware of the discrepancy, and the dangers this poses for civilization. Rather than grubbing and cheating to get 'a few dollars more', we should adopt a "Win-win" mentality.
