With only two months left, the lunatic neocons will throw everything they’ve got to try to get Russia to respond. They want American blood on Putin’s hands so that Trump will be unable to even think about ending the war. If Russia doesn’t bite, watch for another “Gulf of Tonkin” moment.

My thoughts exactly. All of the media hype about the Atacms, big Russia response, emabassy evacuations. Sulivan calling for lowering the draft age. They have to keep this war going somehow. Same old MO.

Thanks again Mark, I honestly believe the Russian leadership think the West cares about Putin signing a new nuclear doctrine. I honestly believe the Russians think the West takes notice of Medvedevs idle threats. I mean how many times does the West have to escalate, before the Russians realise the West is going to escalate. Putin is a Dove he should be no where near military decisions. He is to naive, what he wants for his country is great. But what his country will get. Is nothing but aggravation because the West know he is a Dove. Putin is very very intelligent, but Russia needs an arrogant belligerent bastard running military policies. Ukraine should have been flattened & fuck what anyone thought about it. It would have sent a clear message & peace would have came about. Putin has been taken for the mug he is yet again by the West. It's going to be Poland & the Baltics next. Because they know they can. Russian politicians do not understand Western ways of thinking at all. They still believe in international law for christ sakes. When do criminals abide by the law?

Davy, there were very large and important domestic reasons for the Russian Federation to not ‘flatten’ Ukraine. The place is full of people who consider themselves to be Russian; who speak Russian, and who have family ties to people living in Russia. There is no question that Russia should have recognized the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Luhansk, and come to their aid with the special military operation, long before February 2022. Putin, I think, knows that and has taken responsibility for that serious mistake. And, of course, you are absolutely correct that the collective west is genocidal criminal enterprise that controls all of the institutions that were designed ostensibly to make certain such horrors never again could exist. However, I can’t bring myself to criticize leaders from outside the collective west for not matching its barbarity.
