Mark, I have to push back on this trope about the Europeans spending all their money on healthcare & education instead of the military.
[1] Europe does not spend a greater proportion of GDP on healthcare & education than does the US, au contraire. Nor is it free everywhere. The difference is that in the US it is outrageously expensive because of the vig, the bezzle, the racket, which is not funded but enabled by government.
[2] Europe has more military spending than anybody else, with the exception of the USA
[3] Europe has no need of aircraft carriers in the Pacific and does not benefit from them
[4] Does Europe benefit from American occupation? Nordstream? Do you want Annalena or Kaja to have nukes?
Imagine what the Western “narrative” would be if Ukraine was steamrollering Russia and Russia was calling for a ceasefire.
