Some 4,500 elite US, British & Australian Troops are participating in an advanced series of wargames known as Project Convergence, conducted by the US Army Futures Command.
Project Convergence bills itself as,
“A campaign of learning, it leverages a series of joint, multi-domain engagements to integrate artificial intelligence, robotics, and autonomy to improve battlefield situational awareness, connect sensors with shooters, and accelerate the decision-making timeline.
The current wargame scenario is taking place at the sprawling 1,000 square mile Fort Irwin Army Base in California.
The British Times reports that the area seems purposefully selected for its similarity to the flat terrain of the Ukrainian steppe.”
The base includes mock villages built with the help of Hollywood set designers.
Specifically Russian-speaking NPC’s have been brought in to play the part of non-combatant civilians.
The Russian-speaking civilians populating the mock village have their own social media networks – mockingly named 'Fakebook' and 'Twatter' – upon which the civilians apparently
post their opposition to the Western troop presence in their town and begin to organize, agitate and protest against them.
Chillingly, the Western military troops are then to simulate methods to “pacify” the Russian-speaking civilians. Practice for repressing the people of Donbass or Crimea?
The exercises are specifically designed to incorporate observations and lessons learned from the conflict currently occurring in Ukraine and feature a “land-centric fight against the type of “threat the Ukrainians are facing every day now” and include practicing to penetrate an integrated air defense system network “resembling those currently being used by Russia in Ukraine”. Then the joint force will sustain a land campaign against a hybrid threat “much like the one you’re seeing in living color right now in Ukraine.”
The wargame is also presented as a high-tech experiment in the battlefield use of & defense from drone swarms, robotic autonomous kill vehicles, Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Battlefield Decision Making, reality-augmented lenses, 3-D printing of parts & weapons for logistics, and more.
It seems pretty clear that US & British troops are training exactly to fight Russian forces and repress Russian-speaking civilians in Ukraine for a probable coming Western intervention in the conflict.
Previous Project Convergence scenarios have centered around a conflict against a “near-peer adversary” on an “Indo-Pacific Island”, that is totally not rehearsing for separating Taiwan from China by force.
We are wargaming out WW3 here, people.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. 500 years of Western domination and exploitation are being challenged. If the proxy force fails, a “Tonkin” like event will be manufactured to justify direct NATO involvement. Surely China must see they are next should Russia fail. Why such halfhearted support?
Well done Mark. I suggest all your readers turn the volume of the video up to max so you get the full effect of this highly crafted bit of warprop. The Yanks are getting desperate and the Industrial Military Complex needs to clean up.
